This piece emerged from a quiet moment of bliss the warmth of the sun on my face, the stillness of being fully present. I used a light, limited colour palette to evoke that sense of calm and serenity. Through weaving and yarn collage, I began abstracting the figure into texture and rhythm, allowing the portrait to dissolve into feeling. In smaller works like this, I give myself space to experiment freely to follow instinct, loosen control, and let new ideas surface.
