‘Field’ by Anthony H. (Slade School of Art, MFA 2019) is part of a series of paintings called ‘Track and Field’. They are a product of Anthony’s experiences as an athlete and an artist. Inspired by Matthew Barney’s drawing Restraints the series was produced under time pressure.
The artist thus explores the relationship between the body, time, and space in sports and art.⠀
